CHAPTER 10
In order to carry out a zero point adjustment for water vapor
absolute or carbon dioxide absolute, zero gas that is free of both H
and CO
must be passed through the measuring and reference side.
2
The adjustments must be carried out with extreme accuracy,
otherwise all subsequent measurements will be faulty. The analyzer
should therefore be purged with zero gas until the measured values
no longer display a drift. This should be done very accurate and
would need about 1 h for CO
check it can be indicated to just control the consisting calibration
with a calibration gas
The adjustment process will be initiated by running the protocol
that can be found in the GFS-Win software under the Menu
Options1/ Calibration/ Analyzers. Four different modes can be
chosen:
1. CO

by the Mixing Volume 3000-C/MV, connect the Measuring Head
and close the cuvette. The parameters for flow, CO
control and Mode will automatically be adjusted. (After clicking OK
the adjustment can still be cancelled.) The two upper fields in the
right column of the GFS-Win main window show the CO
value of the reference cell (CO2abs) and the CO
the sample cell (CO2sam).
