EVD MODEL - COFFEE DOSING PROGRAMMATION
Machine operation:
Turn on the machine by pushing the general switch (fig. 03).
Wait about 20 minutes (until it reaches the optimum temperature). Now the machine is ready for use.
The unit is supplied with two filter holders, one for single cup and one for two cups. Install the single
filter in the one cup filter holder and the filter for two cups (deeper) in two cups filter holder. Be sure
that the filter holder is locked in the brewing head to make it hot, while machine is heating up.
Programming the doses:
Put the coffee in the one-cup filter holder and fit this into the unit. Press the programming button (fig.
14) and the one-coffee pour button at the same time (fig. 11). The coffee will start to come out. When
you have reached the required quantity, press the one-coffee pour button again (fig. 11). You will hear
two beeps. Repeat the whole operation for two cups. For a constant flow of coffee, press the continuous
flow/stop button (fig. 12). Press the same button to stop the constant flow of coffee.
1- How to brew a cup of coffee.
Release the smaller filter holder (fig. 09) with one spout, which must be hot. Using the dosing spoon,
fill almost to the top with coffee, especially ground for espresso. With the plastic tamper press carefully
the coffee powder to obtain an high quality espresso. Take your handle (filter holder), position slightly
to left, place into the brewing group and turn to the centre until firmly locked into place. Place your
cup under the coffee spout and turn on the coffee brewing button (fig. 04). Portion and fill the cup to
desired amount.
2 - How to brew two cups of coffee.
As before place deeper filter holder (with two spouts) into brewing head to heat. Then remove the filter
holder. Using the dosing spoon, fill the almost to the top with coffee, especially ground for espresso.
With the plastic tamper press carefully the coffee powder to obtain an high quality espresso. Take your
handle (filter holder), position slightly to left, place into the brewing group and turn to the centre until
firmly locked into place. Place your cup under the coffee spout and turn on the coffee brewing button
(fig. 04). Portion and fill the cups to desired amount.
Important: After brewing don't empty the filter holders and leave it locked into the brewing head.
Unlock and clean carefully filters and filter holders when turning off the machine in the evening.
3 - How to make a cappuccino.
Fill a stainless steel pitcher (0,3 Lt..), half full with cold milk, place pitcher under the steaming pipe
and immerse the spout into milk. Turn on steam tap (fig. 06) to foam the milk, keeping only until the
milk has become frothy. Brew an espresso into a cappuccino cup, fill it with the frothed milk. Once
the operation is finished we recommend to let a steam jet drip into the tray, so that the pipe end is
kept free and clean; moreover clean the pipe with a non-abrasive wet cloth.
Warning: don't scald the milk, bring it to 60 ° . Thermometers are available to use for this purpose.
4 - Producing hot water.
Place the container you wish to fill under the feed pipe (fig. 07).
Push the water supply button (fig. 02). The machine will start supplying hot water. When required
quantity of water has been provided, release the button (see paragraph "How to make Cappuccino").
If more hot water is required, it is advisable to use normal cold tap water and heat it with steam pipe.
Warning: the machine does not supply hot water if at the same time it is supplying coffee.

könnte, wenn er sich nicht an die speziellen Sicherheitsvorschriften hält (die in der vorliegenden
Bedienungsanleitung beschrieben sind).
Das Gerät muß an eine wirksame Erdungsanlage angeschlossen werden.
Sollte diese Vorschrift nicht beachtet werden, stellt die Anlage eine Gefahrenquelle bezüglich
elektrischer Entladungen dar, weil eventuell abgegebene elektrische Energie nicht mehr in die Erde
entladen werden kann.
Entfernen Sie die Filterhalterung niemals wenn die Abgabeeinheit in Betrieb ist.
Wenn die Abgabeeinheit aktiviert ist, steigt der Druck in seinem Inneren auf 8-9 bar, daher bewirkt
ein verfrühtes Aushaken der Filterhalterung einen raschen Austritt kochenden Wassers, was zu
nachhaltigen Konsequenzen für den Benutzer und Personen, die sich in dessen Nähe befinden, führen
können.
Berühren Sie das Gerät nicht. Lassen Sie interne Kontrollen nur durch Fachpersonal
durchführen.
Die Ausführung von Arbeiten an irgendeinem Maschinenteil durch nicht qualifiziertes Personal, führt
zu einem automatischen Verfall der Garantie.
Achten Sie auf die Strahlröhrchen für Dampf und Warmwasser.
Die Strahlröhrchen für Dampf und Warmwasser und die Aufhängringe für die Filterhalterung werden
aufgrund der Benutzung überhitzt und stellen daher eine potentielle Gefahrenquelle dar. Berühren Sie
die Bauteile daher vorsichtig. Richten Sie den Dampf- bzw. Wasserstrahl niemals direkt auf Personen.
Nehmen Sie Eingriffe niemals bei unter Spannung stehendem Gerät vor.
Vor der Durchführung jeglichen Eingriffs muß das Gerät, durch Betätigung des Netz-Hauptschalters
abgeschaltet werden oder was noch besser ist, den Netzanschluß überhaupt zu unterbrechen.
Entfernen Sie niemals eine Außenwand, während das Gerät unter Spannung steht.
Verwendung der Maschine
Die Espressokaffeemaschine WEGA ist ein Gerät, welches ausschließlich für gewerbliche Zwecke
bestimmt ist. Jede andere Verwendung ist als falsch und daher als gefährlich anzusehen.
Lassen Sie keinen Gebrauch des Gerätes durch Kinder und unfähige Personen zu. Die Nichtachtung
der oben angeführten Vorschriften kann zu schwerwiegenden Schäden an Personen oder Tieren
führen. Aus Sicherheitsgründen wird empfohlen keine Lappen auf die Maschine zu legen: weil dies
zu einer Behinderung der normalen Luftzirkulation führt.
