    The following instructions have been adapted from the ANSI/OPEI standard B71.3—1995 and ISO standard Operation 8437:1989. Information or terminology specific to Toro snowthrowers is enclosed in parenthesis. Do not put hands or feet near or under rotating parts. Keep clear of the discharge opening at all times.

    4. Install the speed selector rod into the selector arm, add one flat washer on the rod, and secure it with a cotter pin (Fig. 5). Note: If the speed selector will not move into third gear or does not meet your speed requirements, adjust the speed selector.
