Safe Operating Practices

This product is capable of amputating hands and feet.
Always follow all safety instructions to avoid serious
injury or death.
POTENTIAL HAZARD
Engine exhaust contains carbon monoxide,
which is an odorless, deadly poison.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
Carbon monoxide can kill you and is also
known to the State of California to cause
birth defects.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
Do not run engine indoors or in an enclosed
area.
Because in some areas there are local, state, or federal
regulations requiring that a spark-arrester be used on
engines, a spark-arrester is available as an option for
the traction unit. If a spark-arrester is required,
contact your Toro dealer. Genuine Toro approved
spark-arresters are approved by the USDA Forestry
Service. It is a violation of the State of California
PRC Section 4442 to use or operate the engine on any
forest-covered, brush-covered, or grass-covered land,
unless the engine is equipped with a spark-arrester,
2
maintained in working order, or the engine is
constricted, equipped, and maintained for the
prevention of fire.
General Operation

the operator's manual, in the video, and on the
