Adjusting the Cutting Unit
Flow Control
The flow control valve (Figure 72) is used to adjust the
rate at which the front cutting unit lowers.

Adjusting the Transport Latch

If the transport latch (Figure 73) has to be adjusted,
adjust as follows:
1. Raise the front cutting unit fully off of the floor, set
the parking brake, and stop the engine. Remove the
ignition key.
2. Loosen flange nuts securing latch arm pivot to
traction unit frame.
3. Move latch arm pivot in or out until rubber cushion
of adjustment screw is centered under deck latch.
Tighten flange nuts.
1. Latch arm pivot
2. Adjustment screw
4. Clearance between adjustment screw rubber
(Figure 74) cushion and deck latch should be .125
inch. If an adjustment is required, loosen nut
on adjustment screw, adjust screw until required
clearance is attained and tighten nut.
