3 - manage your contacts using your phonebook
Which phonebook should I save my
numbers in?
You can store up to 90 names and numbers
on your SIM Card. Your phone's internal
memory is dynamic and is shared by all
your phone's features. For example, saving
a high number of ring tones may affect the
number of contacts you can store to your
phone's memory.
You will be able to access any numbers
stored in the SIM phonebook if you use your
SIM Card in another phone. Numbers saved
in your SIM Card will be denoted by the
symbol.
You should store contacts in your phone's
memory if you wish to add additional data to
the phone number, for example an email
address. You can personalise these contacts
in a number of ways, including assigning ring
tones and pictures to appear when they call.
delete unwanted contacts
from your phonebook
1 Press Names. Scroll to Delete and
press Select.
2 Select One by one to delete a name or
names. Press Delete to delete the
highlighted contact, then OK to confirm
your choice.
3 To delete all the names in your
phonebook select Delete all.
Choose to delete either your Phone or
SIM Card memory and press Delete.
You will be asked if you're sure, press OK.
Enter your Security Code and press OK.

copy numbers between
your phone and SIM Card
It's easy to swap all your names and
numbers from your SIM Card to your
phone's memory or vice versa.
1 Press Names. Scroll to Copy and
press Select.
2 Choose whether to copy your contacts
from the phone to your SIM, or from
your SIM to the phone. Press Select.
3 Select whether to move your contacts
One by One, or All. Press Select.
4 To move one by one, scroll to the
contact you wish to move and press
Copy. Choose to Keep original to keep a
copy of your contact in the original
destination, or Move original to only have
a copy of your contact in the new
destination. Press Select. To move more
of your contacts simply repeat this step.
5 To move All your contacts, you must
choose whether to Keep original to keep
a copy of your contacts in the original
destination, or Move original to only have
a copy of your contacts in the new
Orange Directory Enquiries
Call Orange Directory Enquiries for one step
access to any numbers you need. Simply call
118 000 and tell the operator the name or place
you are looking for and they will tell you the
number (you can request three numbers per
call). Then, they will send a text message to your
phone at no extra cost, allowing you to call the
number directly from the message or add it
straight to your phonebook.
Each time you call we'll search for up to three
numbers for a fixed fee of only 50.2p. There's no
charge for being connected straight through,
and the on going call is 25.5p per minute. All
prices are excluding VAT.
