- Page 11 On Deck Installation If you are doing an install where you are placing the battery and cables on the deck, you do not need to drill any holes in the firewall. Follow the instructions below on how to attach any new pieces to hold the motor components in place.

Pick two locations on your firewall, one for the power cable and one for the throttle cable. Use some of the pieces provided to see how the large the hole will be and where the mouting screws go to make sure you have adaquate room for everything.

Insert this plug end into the fitting on the firewall and make sure that the flat is lined up with the flat on the firewall fitting.

Hobie eVolve Mirage Well Operation Drive Installation 1. Before installing the drive, make sure that the power cable is disconnected and the safety key is off the throttle pad. 2. Forward movement of the remote throttle means the kayak moves forward, backward movement of the remote throttle means the kayak moves backwards.

Several protective functions are programmed into the pylon. Protective Functions 1. Temperature protection: If the motor overheats, the motor control system reduces the output of the drive until a temperature equilibrium is established between generated and disposed heat.

To obtain warranty services, within 30 days of discovering the problem take your Hobie eVolve, along with proof of purchase (sales receipt), to the authorized Hobie dealer from whom you purchased your eVolve unless you have moved or are traveling. - Page 27 Hobie Cat Company decides whether defective parts are repaired or replaced. Distributors and dealers who repair Torqeedo motors have no authority to make legally binding statements on behalf of Hobie Cat Com- pany or Torqeedo.
