Replacing the keyboard

Before you start, print these instructions and read "Important safety information" on page vi.
Note: Depending on the model, your computer might look different from the illustrations in this topic.
DANGER
During electrical storms, do not perform any replacement and do not connect or disconnect the
telephone cable from the telephone outlet on the wall.
Removing the keyboard
To remove the keyboard, do the following:
1. Turn off the computer and then disconnect the ac power adapter and all cables from the computer.
Wait several minutes to let the computer cool.
2. Close the computer display and turn the computer over.
3. Remove the battery. See "Replacing the battery" on page 109.
