Outboard Rigging Guide - 2001
In case the buzzer sounds, engine is slowed
and the outboard will not shift perform the fol-
lowing steps.
1.
Move to a safe area and turn the main
switch to OFF.
2.
Check battery terminal for looseness and
disconnection. Tighten or connect the ter-
minal if necessary.
3.
Check sensor wire terminal for looseness
and disconnection. Connect the terminal if
necessary.
4.
Turn the main switch to ON to check that
the outboard shifts into neutral.
5.
If the outboard shifts, the cruising can be
continued.
6.
In case it will not shift yet, use emergency
lever and emergency manual shift lever to
shift the outboard into neutral and then
start the engine. For operations of the
emergency lever and emergency manual
shift lever, refer to page 10B-22~23.
7.
Run to the nearest port immediately and
consult your YAMAHA dealer.
WARNING
Do not cruise if the emergency lever and
emergency manual shift lever have to be
used. The emergency means are designed
exclusively for running to a service avail-
able port immediately.
In case either of the twin engines in the twin
engine installation has become a warning
state which causes engine speed to be
reduced, the speed of other engine is also
reduced at the same time.
NOTE:
The circuit for this control is built in the unit in
the switch panel.
