Mounting inductive proximity switch

Sequence:
1. Mount the inductive proximity switch Pos. 1 (see Fig.6), with
the connector on the cable end, to the side frame Pos. 4 of
the splash guard housing.
2. The two other inductive proximity switches Pos. 2 should be
mounted on the upper longitudinal member Pos. 3. To this
end use a suitable toothed disk and hexagon nut.
3. In order to ensure that the inductive proximity switches
function perfectly, they must be configured before the faste-
ning nuts are tightened.
To do so connect the splash guard doors and set the
inductive proximity switches such that the air gap X (see
Fig. 6) between the head of the proximity switch and the
contact screws (hexagon bolts) on the splash guard doors is
1.5mm (or 0.6inch). A gage block or feeler gage can be used
to help.
4. Following this, tighten the fastening nuts of the inductive
proximity switches.
! ! ! ! ! Do not overtighten the fastening nuts as this could
damage the proximity switch.

5. Mount the distributor box Pos.5 (see Fig. 7) to the angle
bracket Pos.6. To do so, remove the lid and fasten the
distributor box to the locating panel using two screws.
6. Mount the distributor box with the angle bracket to the longitu-
dinal member Pos. 3 and then connect the proximity switches
as described in Chapter 4.2 and then fit the lid back on.
