FWD-PAUSE (playback pause) Mode
Monitor
Switching the Output Level (Analog channel)
To select the FWD-PAUSE (playback pause) mode, press the PAUSE key during the
STOP mode.
In the FWD-PAUSE mode, the data from where playback started is first read from the tape
(pre-reading) and stored in the FIFO memory, so the data is output on the instant the FWD-
PAUSE mode is released.
This mode is used to output the played back data simultaneously with the start of playback.
Note
When STOP key is pressed during the FWD-PAUSE mode, the data in the FIFO memory
stored by pre-reading will be cleared. The display shows the updated tape address where
the tape is actually located.
The analog data signal during playback can be monitored.

Connect a BNC cable (sold separately) to the ANALOG MONITOR connector.

Press the ; or : key to select the monitor channel.

CAUTION
The signal output from the ANALOG MONITOR connector can not be used for data analysis
because its characteristics differ from the output of each ANALOG OUTPUT connector.
To select the OUT (output level setting) mode, press the OUT/TSG key. The output level of
the analog main channel (channels 1 to 8) can be switched, as follows:

When manual (continuous variable) is selected, use the precision screwdriver (supplied) to
rotate the output level adjustment potentiometers on the rear panel so as to adjust the output
level ±0.5 to ±5 Vpk for each channel. Turning the potentiometer clockwise, the output voltage
increase up to ±5 Vpk.
