Mount the BP-L60/L60A or BP-L90/L90A battery pack (both sold separately) here.
Hold the battery pack in your hand, align the grooves with the guides on the battery
pack mount, and slide the battery pack into place.
Press this button to remove the battery pack.

CAUTION
The battery pack is heavy and occasionally hot, so take care not to drop it.
These slits are used to take in air to cool the inside of the recorder.
The filter protects dust from entering inside the recorder.

WARNING
• To prevent the inside of the recorder from overheating, do not block the filter.
• Do not place hot objects on the left side of the recorder.
• Leave a space of at least 50 mm between the left side of the recorder and any other
object.

CAUTION
• Dust accumulates easily on the filter, so that clean or replace it on occasion. (Replace
it every once a month, depending on how dirty it has become.)
• Be sure attach the filter after cleaning.
• Be sure to order the SIR dust filter to the Sony service division when replacing the
filter.
Cleaning and replacing the filter
The filter cover is fixed to the unit with Velcro.
Draw forward the upper frame of the filter cover window to remove the filter cover and
the filter, and then perform a cleaning or replacement.
DO NOT PUT RECORDER ON THIS SIDE.
OTHERWISE BATTERY ADAPTER MAY BREAK.
