TAKING CARE OF UNEXPECTED PROBLEMS

NO POWER AT THE AC RECEPTACLES

Possible Cause
AC circuit breaker left in the
OFF position after starting.
GFCI system activated.
AC circuit protector tripped.
Faulty power tool or
appliance.
Internal circuit overheated.
Faulty generator.

NO POWER AT THE DC TERMINALS

Possible Cause
DC circuit protector OFF .
Faulty generator.

Correction
Switch AC circuit breaker ON.
• GFCI receptacle
(120 V 20 A duplex receptacle):
Test GFCI and press the RESET
button (see page 29).
• Replace or repair power tool or
appliance.
Check AC load and reset AC
circuit protector (see page 15).
Replace or repair power tool or
appliance.
Stop and restart the engine.
Stop the engine. Reduce the
electrical load. Wait a few
minutes for the internal circuit to
cool down. Restart the engine.
Take the generator to an
authorized Honda servicing
dealer, or refer to the shop
manual.
Correction
Turn DC circuit protector ON
(see page 17).
Take the generator to an
authorized Honda servicing
dealer, or refer to the shop
manual.
