Attachment, adjustment and detachment o f the shoulder strap
Attachment
Place the strap
hook
into the hanger which i s located on the shaft between the grip and the handle.
Adjustment
Adjust the strap length so that the nylon cutting
head
will
be
kept parallel to the ground (Fig.
9).
Detachment (NORMAL)
Remove the strap hook from the hanger
Detachment (EMERGENCY)
In a n emergency,
release the throttle lever, firmly pull the release belt upward and detach the machine from you
(Fig.
10).
Be extremely cautious to maintain control of the machine a t this time. Do not allow the machine to
be
deflected toward you or anyone in the work vicinity.

is assembled as shown in

If it is not, remove it and reassemble it
as
