Wi-Fi Range:
-
Standard (best battery life) range provides the narrowest coverage; however,
battery life is longer.
-
Medium range provides moderate coverage and battery life.
-
Boost range enables you to connect to Wi-Fi devices farther from your mobile
hotspot and still connect to your Wi-Fi network, but battery life is shorter.
USB Tether. If you are tethering your hotspot to your device and do not want to use
Wi-Fi for other devices, select the Wi-Fi stays Off radio button.
RTS Threshold. The smallest packet size (in bytes) used by the Request to
Send/Clear to Send handshaking protocol.
Best practice is to use a value of 2347. If you are experiencing inconsistent data flow,
you can make minor changes to this value to try to alleviate the problem.
Fragmentation Threshold. The largest allowable size (in bytes) for a packet.
If a packet is larger than the threshold, it is sent in multiple packets, which can affect
network performance. Keep this value as large as possible (up to 2346).
The Submit button displays after you make a selection.
