ASSEMBLY OF ENGINE AND SHAFT

CAUTION: Before doing any work on the Brush cutter or Grass Trimmer, always switch
off the engine and pull the spark plug connector off the spark plug. Always
wear protective gloves!
CAUTION: Start the Brush cutter or Grass Trimmer only after having assembled
it completely.
– Insert the drive shaft into the holder case (Fig).
Note: Always insert the drive shaft into the Clutch case fully (approx. 58 mm).
If the inner shaft resists full insertion of the drive shaft, try to insert it
again after slightly rotating the drive shaft or the support washer on the
gear case to match the inner shaft to the hole inside the holder case.
– After making sure that the drive shaft is installed fully and properly, tighten the
socket head bolt (M5 x 14) and socket head bolt (M5 x 25) to secure the drive
shaft.
– Put the carburetor bracket (3) between the 2 nuts (M6) (2) attached to the
control cable (1) and tighten the 2 nuts (2) ensuring that the distance (a) to the
tip of the screw of the control cable is 3.0 to 4.0 mm. Then, insert the nipple of
the control cable into the swivel (4) of the carburetor.
Connect the switch cords to the two cords from the engine by inserting one into
the other.
– Fix the cord connector by clamp.
