    Cleaning and Maintenance For optimum operation of the machine, we recommend to clean and check the machine regularly. ▀ Cleaning the Platen Glass If originals cannot be scanned properly, follow the cleaning procedure below. Clean with a cloth which is wrung after being dampened in water, and then clean with a soft and dry cloth.

    The waste toner is accumulated in the waste toner container, and when the container is nearly full, a message prompting you to replace the container appears on the touch panel display. For information on how to replace the waste toner container, see the e-Manual. Your local authorized Canon dealer will dispose of the used waste toner container.
