If the phone cannot detect the SIM card after your have inserted it, do the
following:
Ensure that the SIM card has been properly inserted. Refer to the
"Getting Started" guide in this manual for instructions.
Ensure that there is no damage on the SIM card.
If the problem continues, please contact your authorised dealer for
assistance.
PIN Code
If your SIM card is PIN code protected, you will be asked to enter a PIN
code when you switch on the phone. You have three attempts to enter the PIN. If
you do not enter the correct PIN by the third attempt, your SIM card will be
blocked and you will be asked to enter a PUK code. Enter the PUK and PIN
codes in the following sequence:
You have ten attempts to enter the correct PUK. If you do not enter the
correct PUK by the tenth attempt, your SIM card will be permanently blocked
and you will need to contact your network provider for further assistance.
Call Connection
When the phone is unable to establish a call connection, do the following:
Ensure that you have entered and dialled the correct number with the
complete prefix such as country or area codes.
If you are using a prepaid subscription service, check to ensure that you
have sufficient credit balance to make the call.
Ensure that the SIM card in use is still valid and offers the service to make
the call.
Check to deactivate any outgoing calls restriction. Refer to the "Call
Setup" guidelines in this manual for instructions.
The network could be overloaded. Wait for a few minutes and try again.
If "Emergency calls only" appears on the phone screen, only emergency
calls are allowed.
If the problem continues, please contact your network provider for
assistance.
Call Reception
When the phone is unable to receive a call connection, do the following:
Make incoming calls to the phone to check if the phone and network are
functioning.
