Overheating/Pan protection

Each zone is equipped with an overheating protection
mechanism (internal temperature limiter).
The ExtraSpeed cooking zone is also equipped with a pan
protection mechanism. If you wish to make use of this
function, you will need to change the factory default
programming (see "Programming").
You can tell that the overheating protection has activated
because the heating switches on and off even when the
highest setting is selected.
If the pan protection has been activated, the heating
element for the cooking zone switches off. In addition to this,
9 flashes alternately in the display with 0.
^ Briefly touch the sensor of the cooking zone.
Then only 0 will flash in the display. You can now operate the
cooking zone again.
The overheating/pan protection mechanism can be activated
by:
– a cooking zone being switched on without a pan on it,
– heating up an empty pan,
– the base of a pan not sitting evenly on the cooking zone,
– the pan is not conducting heat properly.
