Safety cut-out

Safety cut-out if the sensors are covered
Safety cut-out with an overlong cooking time
Your cooktop will switch off automatically if one or several of
the sensors remain covered for longer than 13 seconds, for
example, by finger contact, food boiling over or by an object
such as an oven glove or tea towel.
F will flash in the timer display.
^ Clean the control area or remove the obstruction.
F disappears and you can operate the appliance again.
If one of the cooking zones is heated for an unusually long
period of time (see chart), and the power settings are not
altered, the cooktop will switch itself off automatically and the
corresponding residual heat indicator will appear.
To use the cooking zone again, switch it back on in the usual
way.
The appliance is programmed to Safety setting 0 at the
factory. If necessary, a higher safety setting with a shorter
maximum operating time can be set (see table).
