REMOVING THE CLUTCH

1. Remove:
S generator cover 1
Refer to "STARTER CLUTCH AND GENER-
ATOR".
NOTE:
Loosen each bolt 1/4 of a turn at a time, in
stages and in a crisscross pattern.
After all of the bolts are fully loosened, remove
them.
2. Remove:
S nut 1
S clutch assembly 2
S clutch boss
NOTE:
Before removal, apply a and b alignment
marks.
Align these marks during reassembly.
3. Remove:
S circlip 1
NOTE:
Install the clutch spring holder 2 onto the clutch
assembly as shown. Then, compress the
spring, and remove the circlip 1 .

S spring plate stopper
S clutch spring
S pressure plate
S friction and clutch plates
S weight thrust plate
S weights
S springs
