    User Manual of DS-9600/8600/7700/7600 Series NVR 2.1 Starting Up and Shutting Down the NVR Purpose: Proper startup and shutdown procedures are crucial to expanding the life of the NVR. Before you start: Check that the voltage of the extra power supply is the same with the NVR’s requirement, and the ground connection is working properly.

So before you can get a live view or record of the video, you should add the network cameras to the connection list of the device.

To add other IP cameras: On the left side of the interface, you can enter the IP address, protocol, management port, user name, password and other information of the IP camera to be added.

In the live view mode, once a motion detection event takes place, the NVR can analyze it and do many actions to handle it. Enabling motion detection function can trigger certain channels to start recording, or trigger full screen monitoring, audio warning, notify the surveillance center and so on.
