Using the timers

Using the play timer
A
Turning the timer on and off
The timer comes on at the set time if "F PLAY" is displayed. The
timer can be turned on and off by pressing [SHIFT] i [F PLAY].
Checking the timer
Press [CLOCK/TIMER].
(While the unit is on, press [CLOCK/TIMER] to select "FPLAY").
The timer conditions are shown in the following order.
Start time>Finish time>Source>Volume
Playing the unit after the timer is set
The unit can be used after the timer is set.
Turn the unit off before the set time.
Note
³If you turn the unit off and on again while the timer is functioning, the
finish time setting will not be activated.
³If the unit is on, the timer will not function. The unit must be in the
standby mode.
³If AUX is selected as the source, when the timer comes on, the
system turns on and engages AUX as the source. If you want to
play a connected unit, set the other unit's timer to the same time.
(See the other unit's instruction manual.)
³The timer cannot be used to start program and random play.

The sleep timer

Remote control only
This timer turns the unit off after a set time.
Press [SLEEP] to
(minutes).
Each time you press the button:
SLEEP 30----------)SLEEP 60----------)SLEEP 90

To cancel the sleep timer
Press [SLEEP] to select "SLEEP OFF".
To confirm the remaining time
While the timer is functioning
Press [SLEEP].
The remaining time is shown for about 5 seconds.
To change the setting
Press [SLEEP] to display the remaining time, then press again to se-
lect the required time.
Using the timers together
The play and sleep timer can be used together.
The sleep timer always has priority. Be sure not to overlap timer set-
tings.
