Is Your Vehicle Ready to Drive?

Pre-drive Inspection

Check the following items before driving your Honda MUV:
Oil Level
Check the engine oil level and add oil, if needed
(page 91). Also check under the vehicle for leaks.
Coolant
Check the coolant level (page 104). If it is low, add a
50/50 mixture of silicate-free coolant and distilled water.
Check for leaks.
Fuel Level
Check the fuel gauge (page 13) and add fuel, if needed
(page 86). Make sure the fuel filler cap is secure. Also
check for the smell of fuel or fumes - if you smell any
fuel, turn the ignition switch to OFF ( ) immediately, and
see your Honda dealer.
Brake Fluid
Check the level (page 127). If it is near MIN, check the
brake pads for wear (page 130). If the brake pads are
within the specification, check for leaks in the braking
system (page 126).
Tires
Check the air pressure of all tires and inflate them to the
proper pressure (page 135). Also inspect the tires for
damage or excessive wear (page 137). If necessary see
your Honda dealer.
Wheels
Make sure the wheel nuts are properly tightened and the
wheels are not cracked or deformed (page 142).
