Terminal Baud Rate

To change the baud rate of the serial Manager interface connection, use Menu 24.2.2 - System
Maintenance - Change Console Port Speed as shown in
Menu 24.2.2 - System Maintenance - Change Console Port Speed

The router supports 9600 (default), 19200, 38400, 57600, and 115200 bits per second for the serial
connection. To change the rate, toggle the selection using the space bar. When the desired rate is
shown, press [Enter]. You can change the baud rate of your terminal before continuing.

Log and Trace

The log and trace tool allows you view the error logs and trace records to troubleshoot the router.
The router can also generate system logs (syslogs) to send to other machines.

lists the fields and commands for Menu 24.3 - System Maintenance - Log and Trace.

To use the View Error Log:
Open Menu 24.3 - System Maintenance - Log and Trace.

Select the first option on Menu 24.3.

The Error Log, which is a 64-entry circular buffer, is displayed. Use the space bar to scroll this
screen (if necessary).
