CENTER Speaker
Then follow the instructions in „DVD MENU SETUP" as
shown below.
The center speaker is set to LARGE, SMALL or OFF.
REAR Speaker
The rear speaker is set to LARGE, SMALL or OFF.
Then follow the instructions in „DVD MENU SETUP" as
shown below.
TEST TONE
Then follow the instructions in „DVD MENU SETUP" as
shown below.
Note: The selection is only possible if DOWNMIX 5.1CH
has been selected in the menu item.
TEST TONE is set to ON or OFF.
While no disc in the DVD receiver, this function can test
LEFT , CENTER , RIGHT , RIGHT SURROUND, LEFT
SURROUND in sequence.
SPDIF SETUP
SPDIF SETUP includes SPDIF output and LPCM out
setup.

SYSTEM-SETUP (FUNCTION SETTINGS)
SPDIF OUTPUT
• OFF: The default setting for the output display is
„analogue". You should choose this setting if you
play back the CD on your DVD player through the
right and left-hand AUDIO OUTPUT sockets. If you
select this function, there is no display from the
coaxial port.
• SPDIF/RAW : Select this option if the DVD player is
connected to an amplifi er via the coaxial DIGITAL
OUT port. The amplifi er to be connected must have
Dolby Digital decoding.
• SPDIF/PCM : Select this option if the DVD player is
connected to a 2-channel digital mode or a stereo
amplifi er. When a Dolby Digital or MPEG CD is
played back, the output of the coaxial port is in PCM
2-channel format. These programmes have an un-
compressed digital stereo soundtrack for improved
sound quality. During playback it is possible to hear
a discreet stereo sound from the front left and right-
hand loudspeakers.
LPCM OUTPUT
LPCM 48K:
In the linear PCM setting „48K" means that the maximum
„Digital Output Sampling Rate" is 48 KHz. If the encoded
sampling rate of the title track is 96 KHz the output is
forcibly converted to 48 KHz.
LPCM 96K:
If „96K" has been selected the maximum output samp-
ling rate is 96K and no enforced conversion takes place.
