Position of Oven
Shelves
Arrange the oven shelf or
shelves in the desired
locations while the oven is
cool. The correct shelf
position depends on the
kind of food and the
browning desired. As a
general rule, place most foods in the middle of the oven,
on either shelf position B or C. See the chart for
suggested shelf positions.
Oven Roasting
For self-clean models, do not lock the latch during
regular roasting. The latch is used for self-cleaning
only.
Roasting is cooking by dry heat. Tender meat or poultry
can be roasted uncovered in your oven. Roasting
temperatures, which should be low and steady, keep
spattering to a minimum.
