HEADSET OPERATION

Telephones that are equipped with a headset operation circuit card can
utilize a headset in place of the telephone handset. This is especially
convenient for stations that are used as message centers or ACD
agents.
The telephone's handset stays in place.
The HSM LED will light solid green, indicating that headset mode is
activated.
On-hook/off-hook selection can now be made by pressing the Headset
Control (HSC) access key. Handset mode and hookswitch mode will
remain operable, providing an option to headset operation.
When headset mode is enabled, the speakerphone can still be activated
by pressing the SPEAKER key. This will cause all communication to be
generated over the telephone speaker.
If the telephone handset is lifted while headset mode is enabled,
communication will be generated over both the handset and the headset.
When headset mode is enabled and the telephone headset is in use, the
headset volume control can be adjusted by pressing the Volume
Up/Down Control keys.
By alternately pressing the HSC key, the telephone is placed on- and off-
hook.
