Engine Oil
Inspection:
With the power carrier on a level surface, remove the oil filler cap and wipe
the dipstick
clean.
Insert the dipstick
into the filler
neck, but do not
screw it in. Remove the dipstick and check the oil level.
If the level is low, fill to the upper limit mark with the recommended
oil.

Recommended
oil
Use 4-stroke
motor oil that meets or exceeds the requirements
for API
service classification
SF or SG. Always check the API SERVICE label on
the oil container to be sure it includes the letters SF or SG.
SAE low-30
is recommended
for general use. Other viscosities
shown
in the chart may be used when the average temperature
in your area is
within the indicated
range.

Using nondetergent
oil can shorten the engine's
service
life, and
using 2-stroke oil can damage the engine.
l
Running the engine with a low oil level can cause engine damage.
