Tape Loading and Tape Replacement Precautions
The cutter has sharp edges. Do not touch the cutter. Touching the cutter can cause
fi nger cuts.
High-temperature Precautions
The printer head and the metal parts around it can become very hot. Do not touch
them. Doing so creates the risk of burn injury.
Cutter Precautions
Do not insert your fi ngers into the cutter at the tape outlet. Doing so creates the risk
of fi nger cuts and personal injury.
Use Precautions
To get the most out of your printer, be sure to observe the following precautions.
• Avoid using the printer in locations exposed to direct sunlight, locations with high
humidity, locations where static electricity is easily generated, locations subjected to
sudden extreme temperature changes, and locations where it is extremely cold or hot.
The operating temperature range is 10°C to 35°C (50°F to 95°F).
• Take care to avoid allowing the printer to be subjected to strong impact or forces.
• Do not allow paper clips or pins to get inside of the printer.
• Do not pull on the tape with undue force or try to push it back into the printer.
• A dirty printer head will make printed text blurry. If this happens, refer to the user
maintenance procedures in this manual (page 20) and clean the printer head and rubber
roller.

Caution
