G Recommended brake fluid: DOT 4
G Brake fluid replacement:
When disassembling the master cylinder or caliper, replace the brake fluid. Normally check the brake fluid level and add flu-
id as required.
On the inner parts of the master cylinder and caliper, replace the oil seals every two years.
Replace the brake hoses every four years, or if cracked or damaged.
ROUTINE
• Check operation/brake pad wear/fluid leakage/see NOTE page 8-5.
• Correct if necessary. Replace pads if worn to the limit.
• Check operation and free play.
• Check operation.
• Check for wear, cracks, or damage.
• Check balance/damage/runout.
• Repair if necessary.
• Check bearing assemblies for looseness/damage.
• Replace if damaged.
• Check operation and for leakage.
• Correct if necessary.
• Check operation and for looseness/Replace if damaged.
• Check toe-in/Adjust if necessary.
• Lubricate with lithium-soap-based grease.
• Lubricate with lithium-soap-based grease.
• Check for cracks or damage.
• Check bolt tightness.
• Check operation.
• Replace if damaged.
• Check for cracks or damage.
• Check all chassis fittings and fasteners.
• Correct if necessary.
