SERVICING YOUR GENERATOR

Battery Charging

The battery is rated at 28.0 Ah (ampere hours). Charging current
should equal 10% of the battery's ampere hour rating.
1. Connect the battery charger following the manufacturer's
instructions.
2. Charge the battery.
3. Clean the outside of the battery and the battery compartment with a
solution of baking soda and water.

Battery Installation

1. Install the battery into the generator.
2. Connect the battery positive ( ) cable to the battery positive ( )
terminal first, and tighten the bolt securely.
3. Slide the battery boot over the positive ( ) cable and terminal.
4. Connect the battery negative ( ) cable to the battery negative ( )
terminal, and tighten the bolt securely.
5. Install the cover in the reverse order of removal.

hydrogen gas during normal
operation.
A spark or flame can cause the
battery to explode with enough
force to kill or seriously hurt you.
Wear protective clothing and a face
shield, or have a skilled mechanic
perform the battery maintenance.
