Step
(frequency output) and the J1 (frequency input) on the option board.
5
Determine the desired output type. On the option board, the negative phase
output is J2, differential output is J4, and positive phase is J5 as shown in the
figure below. Customers must pull the green connector and swap between
J2, J4 and J5 for desired output.
ATTENTION
Do not interchange J1 with J2 or J4 or J5.
Refer to APPENDIX F for detail cable connections to SPM.
6
Route the cable from the DAQ system through the Frequency cable gland on
SPM labeled "Frequency" to the desired length. Strip off about ¼" of
insulation from the wires and tin the ends with solder. Connect one wire of
core to V+ terminal of RS232 connector and another wire to FOUT terminal of
the FREQUENCY connector present on the IO PCB. Refer to steps 2a and
2b of APPENDIX
exposed shield of cable is twisted sleeved with appropriate rubber or heat
shrink tubing. Make sure 1/4" of the shield is exposed and connect to the
EARTH pin of the FREQUENCY connector present on the IO PCB. Loosen
the screws on the connector, slide the wires into the connector, and tighten
the screws. Following table specifies output signal for square wave
configuration.
