    For a wireless connection, the SSID, (also known as the wireless network name), and the wireless security settings must be the same for the router and wireless computers or wireless adapters. NETGEAR strongly recommends that you use wireless security. The router is pre-configured with WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK mixed mode and uses a unique SSID and passphrase.
