Placing Sander Step 7 The Model G0449/G0450 Figure 11 has a shipping weight over 1200 lbs. Serious personal injury may occur if safe moving meth- ods are not followed. To be safe, get assistance and use power equip- ment when moving the crate and removing the machine from the crate.
Mounting to Floor Bolting to Concrete Floors Figure 14 Figure 15. Dust Collection DO NOT operate the Model G0449/G0450 without an adequate dust collection system. This sander creates substantial amounts of wood dust while operating. Failure to use a dust collection system can result in short and long-term respiratory illness.
To connect a dust collection hose: Figure 16 Figure 17 Note Model G0450 Only : When using a phase converter, connect the manufactured power leg or "wild wire" to the L2 terminal (Figure 18). The L2 terminal can handle power fluctuation because it is wired directly to the motor.
Test Run Gear Oil Check To check the gear oil: Figure 19 Troubleshooting Page 33 Figure 19 Before starting the sander, make sure you have performed the preceding assembly and adjustment instructions, and you have Page 31 read through the rest of the manual and are familiar with the various functions and safety features on this machine.
