Delivering sound to a specified location
(Target playback mode)
Target playback mode outputs sound beams from a single
channel for optimal listening from a specific position.
Refer to the illustrations below.
To limit sound to the immediate area
For clear sound at a distance
Beam angle can be adjusted while audio or video content is
playing.

Press the TARGET key.

Use the
/
key to adjust beam angle.
• Angle to the left increases each time the
pressed; angle to the right increases each time the
key is pressed. A maximum angle of 90° in either
direction is possible.
• When playing content stored on an iPod or USB device
connected to the USB jack, press the
"TARGET" is displayed (YSP-4300 only).

Disabling target playback mode
Press the SURROUND or STEREO key to turn target playback
mode off.

Tip
Surround decoders and CINEMA DSP are disabled in target
playback mode.
