NOTE: Making
test cuts in scrap
material
that is similar
to your workpiece
is
essential.
Learning
how the router's
speed,
depth-of-cut
and cutter
bit will react
in the workpiece
will help you produce
quality
cuts.
INTERNAL ROUTING
(Figs. 12, 12a, 12b and 13)
1o With depth-of-cut
set, tilt router and place on workpiece
with leading
edge of sub-base
contacting
workpiece
first (Fig.t2)..
2. Turn motor "On" and let motor build up to its full speed,
being careful
not to let cutter bit
contact
workpiece.
3_ To begin your cut, gradually
feed the cutter bit into the workpiece
until the subbase
is level with the workpiece
(see Fig 12a, 12b)o
4_ When cut is completed,
turn motor "Off" and let cutter bit come to a complete
stop
before
removing
it from the workpiece.
5. Unplug
router from power
source,
place router upside
down on worktable,
and inspect
finished
cut in workpiece_
