2. Aperture-priority AE [Av]

In this mode, you set the aperture and the camera automatically sets the
shutter speed according to the lighting conditions.

While pressing the shooting mode
selector, turn the main dial until "Av"
appears in the LCD panel.

Release the shooting mode selec-
tor.

Turn the main dial until the desired
aperture value appears in the
viewfinder or LCD panel.

Press the shutter button halfway to
focus the subject and confirm the
exposure.
• The aperture value and corresponding
shutter speed are displayed in the
viewfinder and LCD panel.
