Before picking up the processor, reduce static
discharge by touching the metal frame of the
system unit. See "Safety Precautions" in this
chapter.
Lift the processor out of the socket.

Installing the Processor

1. Remove the processor currently in the system (see
previous procedure).
Before picking up the processor, reduce static
discharge by touching the metal frame of the
system unit.
2. Align the notched corner of the processor with the
alignment corner in the socket and insert the processor.
3. Swing the lever down to lock the processor into the
socket.
Remember to either reattach the heatsink used with
the old processor or install the new heatsink
supplied with the OverDrive processor.
