you can use the

bolts and other fasteners shown in Figure 6 to
mount the buffer to a workbench. however, your
workbench thickness or setup may require longer
hex bolts and additional washers, which you will
have to provide.
Another option for mounting is a "direct Mount"
where the machine is simply secured to the work-
bench with a lag screw.

To install the control box:
1.
place the control box on the motor and align
the mounting holes.
2.
secure the control box with the four

" hex bolts (Model g3622) or

" hex bolts (all other models), and four

flat washers and lock washers, as shown in
Figure 10.

Buffing Wheel
Installation
Buffing operations on your machine will vary.
depending on the type of material to be buffed,
multiple buffing wheels will be necessary, and for
other tasks, single wheels will be used. refer to
Accessories, page 22 for a list of buffing wheels
and wheel flanges that are available for your buf-
fer.
A variety of spacers have been provided to accom-
modate many combinations of buffing wheels.
NOTICE
This machine is not a grinder and is not
designed to accommodate grinding wheels.
ONLy use buffing wheels on this machine.
Single Buffing Wheels With Metal
centers (Airway Style)
1.
disConneCt BuFFer FroM poWer!
2.
remove the arbor nut.
3.
install spacers on the shaft.
4.
sandwich the buffing wheel between a pair of
wheel flanges (sold separately), as shown in
Figure 11.
