CONNECTIONS
Rear speaker

@ Plug the power cord into the AC wail outlet only after all
the connections have been completed
e@ Be sure to connect an antenna. If you do not, broadcast
signal reception will not be possible
1 Connect AMIoop antenna and FM T-type antenna
to the unit's antenna terminals.
2 Connect the speaker cords to the SPEAKERS
terminals.
(S-P255 , S-P3550 , S-P4550 , S-P4500 , S-P5500)
Connect the red cords to the "+" (red) terminals and the
black cords to the "~" (black) terminals
'2 Push away the tab (3) Pull back the tab.
and insert the cord Be sure to tighten
into the terminal. the cords firmly.
(1) Twist the
wire strands.
NOTE:
Do not allow the conductors of the cords to project out af the
terminals or fo come into contact with other conductors. A
breakdown or failure may occur when conductors touch
Speaker impedance
Connect speaker systems with a nominal impedance ranging
from 8 to 162

@ Connect the plugs properly
e@ Rear speakers equipped with standard gin plugs and with
a nominal impedance of 16 Q or more can be connected.

When mounting a rear speaker system on a wail
@ Use the hole located on the rear panei of the speaker to
mount it on a wall
Make sure the speakers will not droo when they are
mounted on a wail
e@ Make sure the wall is strong enough to support the
speakers
PIONEER disclaims the responsibility for damages due to
dropping of the speakers and other ace:dents, which are
caused by inappropriate strength of the wall or improper
installation
e No screws, or other fittings are supeied to mount the
speakers on the wall.
Precautions for the S-P255 and S-P4500
Do not connect to any amplifier other than the one supphed
with this system. Connecten to any otmer amplifier mayan
rare cases result in smoke oF fine
