Video Operations

This section describes the operation on frame memory
output channel 1 (FM1) as an example.

Creating Video (Record)

You can assign a frame memory source bus signal to a
frame memory output channel and then record to capture
video content and save it in the frame memory work area.
Notes
• When the system is powered off, the content in the
frame memory work area will be lost. Also, if the
channel assignment is changed, unsaved content will be
lost. Save any required content in content storage.
For details about assigning a frame memory channel,
see "Setting DME/Frame Memory Channels"
(page 405).
For details, see "Saving content to content storage"
(page 184).
• Only audio data is recorded in ancillary data. Metadata
is not recorded.

Audio data restrictions
• When frame memory video (record) is created using the cross-point box, audio data is not recorded.
• In a 1M/E box switcher configuration, audio data is not output on an M/E box in the following cases.
- When signals on ports on slot 1 are selected on the frame memory source bus and recorded, and frame memory from
ports on slot 4 is output
- When signals on ports on slot 4 are selected on the frame memory source bus and recorded, and frame memory from
ports on slot 1 is output
For details about the relationship between slots and input/output port numbers, see "Input/Output Numbers"
(page 511).
Note
On M/E-IP type boxes, audio output is supported only for input/outputs on ports 1 and multiples of 4 + 1 (1, 5, 9, and
so on).
For details about box types, see "Displaying Box Information" (page 369).
• In a multiple-box switcher configuration, audio data is not output on an M/E box in the following cases.
When group mode is enabled, the frame memory
output channel display changes to [FM1/FM2].
