Vil.ERROR CODES
A. Error Code List
This printer has a self-diagnostic function for detecting the printer status on the engine controller PCB.
Self-diagnostic are performed at all times. When the self-diagnostic function judges that an error has occurred,
it displays an error code on the message display on the control panel that indicates the details of the trouble.
The following tables shows the error codes that are displayed, when these errors are detected, and the
main cause of the error.

[When the cut sheet detection sensor (PS1) does not turn | Defective cut sheet detection
OFF even though the roll media has been fed by the fixed | sensor (PS1)
amount during path change
* When the feeder open/close sensor (PS9) turns ON before
the leading edge of the roll media passes cut sheet media
sensor (PS1) during path change
When the torque limitter for the Y cutter is tripped during
cutting of media, and the Y cutter has risen
«When the media discharge sensor (PS6) does not turn ON | Defective media discharge
(at 2nd leading edge detection) even though the media has | sensor (PS6)
been fed by the fixed amount after media feed has started
«When the feeder open/close sensor (PS9) turns ON (at 2nd
leading edge detection) before the leading edge of the
media arrives at PS6 after media feed has started
