_ (Auto)
Reduces the red-eye phenomenon whenever necessary, only
when using the Face Detection Function.
_o_ (On) The flash always strobes to reduce the red-eye phenomenon.
_% (Off) Does not use Red Eye Reduction.
• To avoid blurring of images, hold the camera firmly until tile shutter is released. It usually takes a second
aller you plvss file shmter button. Be also sure not to allow the subject to move during this period.
• Red-eye l_:duction may not produce the desired ellccts. It depends on indivklual dillcrcnces and
conditions, such as distance to the subject, or if tl_e subject looked away lrom the pre-strobe. In such a
case, you can correct the red-eye using [Retoud_] in the viewing menu alter shooting (page 58).
• When file Face Detection flmction is not used, the Red Eye Reduction will not flmctkm even when [Auto]
is selected.
