8.2.2 Bind Network Interfaces

Purpose:
When transmitting data via a single data network interface, once the data network interface fails, data transmission
stops. By bonding multiple data network interfaces into one, they can share one IP address, thus to balance network
load and create redundant links. When transmitting data via a bound network interface, once a data network
interface fails, other data network interfaces take over the transmission task.
The management network interface does not support to bind.
The IP addresss of bound network interface is the same as the first data network interface.
Before you start:
Connect all data network interfaces to network via network cables.
8.2.2.1 Create Bond
Steps:
1.
Go to System > Network.
2.
Select data network interfaces in Basic Network Interface list.
3.
Click Bind Network Interface and click OK in confirmation dialog box.
8.2.2.2 Delete Bond
Steps:
1.
Go to System > Network.
2.
Select a bound network interface.
3.
Click Delete.
4.
Click OK. The bound network interface is recovered to several data network interfaces.
