Safety Of Others
Close supervision is necessary
when any appliance is used near
children.
Children should not play with the
appliance.
This appliance can be used
by children aged from 8 years
and above if they have been
given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in
a safe way and if they understand
the hazards involved. Cleaning
and user maintenance shall not
be made by children unless they
are older than 8 years old and
supervised. Keep the appliance
and its cord out of reach of children
aged less than 8 years.
Appliances can be used by persons
with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they
have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved.
Take care when any appliance is
used near pets.
DO NOT allow the cord to become
twisted.

After Use

While cleaning, DO NOT use a wet
cloth or use water on any part of
the unit, as this may cause a short
circuit or electrical shock.
The appliance must not be
immersed in water for cleaning.

Keep this unit clean.
Check all inlets and outlets
regularly for accumulated dust.
Disconnect the unit from the mains
outlet when it is not in use, or
before relocating or cleaning it.
Switch off and remove the plug
from the socket before changing,
cleaning or inspecting any parts of
the appliance.
When not in use, the appliance
should be stored in a dry place.
Children should not have access to
stored appliances.
Inspections And Repairs
If the supply cord is damaged,
it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or
similarly qualified persons in order
to avoid a hazard.
DO NOT attempt to dismantle,
repair or remould any part of the
unit. This should only be done by
a qualified BLACK + DECKER
service facility. Even the change of
power cable should be done by a
qualified person.
In the unlikely event the appliance
develops a fault, stop using it
immediately and seek advice from
a qualified BLACK + DECKER
service facility.
In case of technical problems,
switch off the product and DO NOT
attempt to repair it yourself. Return
the appliance to an authorised
BLACK + DECKER service facility
for examination, adjustment or
