6. Putting the
pro out of service
The control and monitoring electronics guarantee the highest degree of safety when the
appliance is operating. The permanent sensing of temperature and the circulation flow rate
ensure constant monitoring of hygiene and operating efficiency. Any deviation from the
requirements cause a fault signal to be indicated by the display and light diodes.
If the cause of the fault cannot be found and rectified during an investigation using the check
list in section 5, then the appliance must be put out of service as follows:
• Pull out the electrical plug (the reading on the operating day counter is retained)
• Close shutoff valves (H) and (I).
• Relieve pressure via reverse rinse valve (h)
• Close reverse rinse valve (h)
• Notify customer service.

7. Cartridge Replacement

Honeywell recommends that the cartridge in the appliance be replaced every three years. The
expiry of this operating period will be indicated on the appliance by the flashing yellow service
lamp.
The replacement must only be carried out by a competent person.
If required Honeywell will take back the old cartridge for recycling.

• Carefully pull down the thermal insulation (T)
• Empty unit using the drain plug (S) und
drain key (the key is supplied with the
EK 12-A replacement cartridge)
• Loosen profiled clip (P) with hexagonal key,
turn forwards and open, remove stainless
steel container (R).
• Remove disposable cartridge (K) and
O-ring (O)
• Clean inside of stainless steel container
and close drain plug (S)
• Place a new greased O-Ring (O) in the
groove of the stainless steel container
• Take a new disposable cartridge (K) out of
the sealed bag and place in the stainless
steel container
• Fit the stainless steel container to the
appliance
IMPORTANT! The markings on the
profiled clip and on the housing must be
aligned.
• Reverse rinse appliance (see section 2.3)

To zero the operating day counter press and
hold button
im Mode No. 4 for 5 seconds
