■ Handling before Parts Replacement
● When backup operation is possible
1. Before replacing the Paper Folding Unit Controller PCB, store the adjustment values to the host machine from the
service mode of the host machine.
• Controller PCB backup data read:
SORTER > FUNCTION > FLD-BK-R
2. Turn OFF the main power switch.
● When backup operation is impossible
1. Before replacing the Paper Folding Unit Controller PCB, output P-PRINT in the service mode of the host machine.
• COPIER > FUNCTION > MISC-P > P-PRINT
2. Turn OFF the main power switch.

■ Handling after Parts Replacement
1. Turn ON the main power switch.
2. If a message prompting the user to update the version appears, press [Update] to update automatically the version
of this equipment.
NOTE:
If [Skip] is selected, a message prompting the user to update the version will appear every time when the host machine is started.
It is possible to set not to display the message by the service mode (Level 2) shown below.
(Lv2) COPIER > OPTION > FNC-SW > VER-CHNG
Setting of firmware update operation
● If backup operation has been performed
1. Write the backup data to the new PCB from the service mode of the host machine.
• Controller PCB backup data write:
SORTER > FUNCTION > FLD-BK-W
2. Execute the adjustment in the following service mode.
• Auto adjustment of the fold-enhancing control values:
SORTER > FUNCTION > PF-MTR
● If backup operation has not been performed
1. Based on the output setting values (P-PRINT), enter the adjustment values and setting values for the following items
in service mode.
• SORTER > ADJUST (all items)
• SORTER > OPTION (all items)
2. If there is not the output P-PRINT, enter the values of service mode items recorded on the service label of the Upper
Cover of the Paper Folding Unit."Service Label" on page 86
