Basic Operation

Outline

This unit performs the following two basic operations to feed paper:

1. Through-feed operation

The unit feeds to the finisher paper received from the buffer path unit.
2. Z-fold feed operation
When Z-fold is specified in the host machine, this unit folds in Z-shape paper received from the buffer path unit and then
feeds it to the finisher.
Through-feed Operation
1. When the pre-registration sensor (PS1) detects the leading edge of paper received from the buffer path unit, the registration
motor (M1) rotates forward to turn the registration roller. Then after a specified time, the fold motor (M2) rotates forward to
turn the folding roller, feeding the paper to the finisher.
