2.5 Setting the Ground Fault Detection Switch
Set the ground fault detection EF switch (see
compliance). Ground fault monitoring is performed by the FACP associated with the NFN-GW-PC-HNW/ NFN-GW-PC-HNW-2.
Correct configuration depends on the network design. For an explanation of design concepts, refer to the NOTI•FIRE•NET Manual (P/N
51584). For additional information concerning switch settings and network connections, refer to the High-Speed Network
Communications Module Product Installation Document (P/N 54014).
2.6 System Power
2.6.1 Primary Power
The High-speed PC NFN Gateways are powered via the PCI slot. No external power is required.
2.6.2 Gateway Board Battery
The gateway board battery employed is the Honeywell P/N 39001 lithium battery. This part is not user serviceable and is provided as
information only.
2.7 Testing and Maintenance
Testing and maintenance should be performed according to the Testing and Maintenance section of NFPA-72 and CAN/ULC S536.
